Thin Lizzy: an Irish Rock band formed in 1969 by lead singer/composer/ bass guitarist (pictured below)  Phil Lynott and Brian Downey. The band enjoyed moderated success into the early 80’s with international hits like “The Boys are Back in Town”, “Whisky in a Jar” and “Jailbreak”. Lynott, the first black Irishman to achieve commercial success in rock music, died of a heroin overdose on 4th January 1986.
